British Guyana (November 2007)
Praise The Lord! I had a great trip to British Guyana. As many of you know that I was on this trip alone. I was going to check out a new area to minister. This trip was a great success. I was able to work with one new church start. The name of this new church is Good News Baptist Church. It is located in Annai which is in the south central part of the country. We were able to see 111 people pray to receive Christ. Many of these folks not only prayed but also made a public stand for Christ.
I was also able to visit the town of Lethem. It is on the border of Guyana and Brazil. There is a church in the town but there is a great need for another church in a near by village. I have discovered that there are only 37 Baptist churches in the whole country.
T
he people of British Guyana are very open to the Gospel of Christ. There are no IMB missionaries in this country. The results tell us that there is a great need for work to be done. Pray for us as we seek our Lord's leadership in regards to our future work there. Pray for our church planters in Annai, Mark and Lester. These are good men of God. Unless our Lord leads in a different way, I plan to lead a team back there in November 2008. Let me know if you are interested in working in British Guyana.
I still need help for Carnival in Brazil in February. If you want to go, let me know. God bless you for your prayers and support. Our Lord is on the throne.
Fonte Boa, Brazil (August 2007)
This project consisted of two groups living on a house boat. We had folks from Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Florida, and Washington, D.C. We had a wonder time reaching many for Christ. We were able to go to many areas where I have never been and some where we have worked. Our teams were able to help strengthen two of our churches that we helped to plant back in 2002. Both of these churches went from just a few to a full house before we left.

There were also two new churches planted west of Jutai and six new groups formed west of Fonte Boa. The two new churches have a pastor and the other six are meeting without a pastor. All eight of these areas were new for us. Pray for these young churches as they grow. In all, we saw over 900 adults pray to receive Christ as Savior. There were as many or more children. Praise the Lord.
I had a chance to meet with one of our friends in government in Tefe. I spoke to her about us being available to preach at Carnival in 2008. She said that we are on the permanent schedule for each night. With this in mind, we have an opportunity to continue to reach this area for our Lord. Pray for us as we are working to put together a team from the U.S. and a team from Brazil. Our goal is to have a major presence at Carnival. We are also attempting to schedule a Christian band to play before we preach. Think about how our Lord is turning this sinful celebration into a worship service for His glory. What a mighty God we serve!
China (April 2007)

It is with great joy to report to you on our trip to China. We had 13 professions of faith and two possible groups coming out of this. There were many appointments that were set for us. I am amazed with the different leaders that we met with during this trip. We were able to meet with four of the top Kung Fu masters in this area. Of course I was able to do some training with them. There was also an opportunity to meet with a leader in Chinese art. We were even welcomed in one of the primary and middle schools. The door is open for us to bring English teachers to hold classes there. There was even an open door at one of the restaurants where all the workers were open to the message. They committed to meet together and study.

We had fruit on the train ride going and coming from our target city. (We call our city Omaha.) One man approached me at the train station and asked me if I could tell him about God. On the train ride, he learned about the love of Christ and gave his heart to him. Another man also prayed at the same time. We gave them both a Bible. The younger man read his Bible for the whole trip. I was moved watching him read each page and stroke each page. What a blessing to see someone fall in love with God's Word.

Much of the results from this trip was tied to the contacts from the first trip. I can see how each trip will improve over the last. I am planning to return to our area next year. There may be an opportunity for us to return latter this year. Maybe you would like to go to China. If so, let me know soon. You will be encouraged by the work there. Time is short. We must be about our Father's business. Let's win the world.
