Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done.

(Psalm 105:1 NIV)

  Who We Are

World-Wide Church Planters was founded in 1999 by Steve Wilkes (Professor of Missions, Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary) and Mark Davis (Project Leader/Evangelist) with the purpose of helping missionaries and nationals start new churches. The aim of the organization is to use volunteer teams in reaching the responsive areas of the world….where people are very open to the gospel.

World-Wide Church Planters is a mission organization working primarily with International Mission Board missionaries of the Southern Baptist Convention and the denomination's churches in the United States.  World-Wide Church Planters is also a member of the Fellowship of Baptist World Ministries.  As FBWM members, we enjoy a covenant relationship with the IMB and work in a supporting role of its missionaries in helping to start new churches around the world.
